NXP RC522 - Other NFC protocols?

 Can the NXP RC522 support other 1443A protocols, or is it only suitable only for Mifare?  For example, can this chip be used in conjunction with an MCU to do PGP over NFC or FIDO over NFC.

I don't see any specific reference to non-MiFare use cases in the data sheet, but just want to confirm before making that conclusion.

Thanks for the confirmation. Thats how I read it too.  Wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking some special "pass thru" mode for other formats.  This particular NFC end device customer was evaluating a partner who proposed the RC522 based product for another part of their system, and he was hoping it may have had this dual functionality to enable re-use.  We will revisit the NXP NFC product portfolio for more suitable alternatives.
