NTAG5 - Energy Harvesting

Hello NXP Community,

are there any studies how much Energy different Smartphones provide to the NTAG5 for Energy Harvesting.

I want to connect a Sensor over I2C with the NTAG5 and read out the Data via a Smartphone.

I read the paper  "How to use energy harvesting - NTAG5" (https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12365.pdf )

And I could find a study measuring the Ampere / Distance with three modern mobile phones (Google Pixel 3, Huawei P20 Pro and Apple iPhone 11)

Is there a more broad study for different Smartphone Brands?

Hi Julian,

Hope you are doing well.

When using the technology there are always two parts, in this case it would be the reader in the phone and the tag.

We do not have an study of the usage of different Smartphones or Brands with our products as each company has their own antenna and power designs.
