We have mifare reader module which is based on mfrc500.

Now we are planning to develop new mifare module, for that we want a reader ic which satisfy below requirements:

1.) backward compatible with mfrc500

2.) support new card types

3.) reading range must be > 100mm

4.) must be in production for 5years

We found below reader ic,

1.) CLRC632

2.) MFRC531

3.) MFRC530

Are these module recommend for new design? and what about there availability/production?

Dear Anish Kumar Singh,

Please check the full list of readers for NFC NFC Reader ICs|NXP , I think that a good option would be the CLRC663 plus, it has an SDK, it is multi protocol, for the distances required I do not think that would work for > 100mm   since this family should work for less than 100mm due to security and ensure the transactions done with them, if you want a HF reader for longer  distances maybe the SLRC610 should work for you also the distance will depend on the antenna design of the reader.

Hope this helps if I was not clear enough of need more information let me know.

BR

Jonathan
