My company is integrating the PN5180 chip into our devices and we need this chip to work on Android natively, to be able to be detected by the NfcAdapter object and get the Tag object in Android.
I've read on the forums that this chip does not support android but, is there any way to make it supported on android assuming one would go through extra lengths to achieve this.
What kind of solution would be possible or what kind of engineer would be able to create such a support library?
Thank you.
Hello,
We have no PN5180 for Android solution, only PN5180 for Linux solution, which describes the detailed steps in AN11802.pdf. If you want to use Android OS, please select PN7150 / PN720. These two NFC readers have good support for Android. Hope it help you.
Best Regards
