I am trying to update the firmware from 1.33.11 to 2.2.8 on a Pegoda RD710 reader. Per the RD710 quick startup guide, I have put the DIP switches into Flash mode, and Windows 7 detects the RD710 as a mass storage device. When I try to copy the new binary file to the device, I receive the following error from Windows: "Error 0x8007045D: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." According to the startup guide, the binary file name must be named with the format of "pegoda2x.bin". The Rev 2.2.8 firmware downloaded from the NXP website contains the binary file already named in this format, however I still get the I/O device error when copying the file to the RD710.
Is there another file name format I should be using?
