Assistance Required: PN7150 NFC USB Dongle Disconnection Issue

I am using the PN7150 NFC USB Dongle and attempting to communicate with my mobile phone. I ran the NXP-NCI_Windows_example.exe SW4335 provided in your example package. The application launches successfully, and the command prompt displays:

WAITING FOR DEVICE DISCOVERY When I bring my phone close to the dongle, it detects it successfully, and the following messages appear: LISTEN MODE: Activated from remote Reader --- NDEF Record sent Immediately after, the following message is displayed: READER DISCONNECTED

I initially suspected this might be a driver issue, but as per your documentation, no drivers are required. I’ve tested this behavior on multiple laptops and phones, but the issue persists.

Could you please help me understand why the reader disconnects after the NDEF record is sent? I’ve attached the logs from the command prompt for your reference.

Hello, my name is Fabian, I've been assigned to support your case.

Thank you for your interest in our products.

Please keep in mind that PN7150 is an IC that doesn't supports directly USB. There is an LPC that manages the communication between PN7150 and the PC. The firmware from the LPC11U24 MCU isn't developed by NXP and, the support should be managed by the manufacturer.

With this being said, there PN7150 doesn’t suspends or power off without a command from the Host (the LPC). As you mention, there isn't a driver from the PC that sends this power off or suspend command.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of how to keep the USB Dongle constantly ON. If you are interested in creating you own solution based on NCI commands, please explore the possibility of using PN7160 since PN7150 isn't recommended for new designs.

Best Regards,
Fabian
