NXP Documentation on Sensorless BLDC Control Using 180° Commutation and FOC?

Hello,

I'm currently studying sensorless BLDC motor control using the S32K144 BLDC/PMSM Development Kit. This kit primarily utilizes the Zero-Crossing Point (ZCP) method for sensorless control, and NXP provides detailed documentation on this approach.

However, I am also interested in exploring other sensorless control techniques that NXP may have documented, particularly:

Sensorless BLDC control using the 180° conduction method
Sensorless BLDC control using the Field-Oriented Control (FOC) method

Does NXP provide any technical documentation or reference designs covering these sensorless control techniques? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could point me to the relevant resources.

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Thank you so much for your interest in our products and for using our community.

NXP has a broad portfolio for motor control solutions, I suggest you consult the Arm-Based Development Platforms in the following link:

Automotive Motor Control Solutions

Each solution includes HW, SW and documentation.

Regarding 180 degree conduction mode, we do not have any reference, sorry for the inconvenient. But regarding FOC, please refer to AN12235.

Hope it helps you.

Have a nice day!
