Matlab MBDT Available Licenses

Hello there,

I'm using the NXP Matlab MBDT S32K3xx MCUs and I have a question about the licenses. When I first installed the license, I got a node-locked license on my computer, however if I try to install it on another computer, it's telling me there are no licenses available.

How could I add another computer to the license? Is there a way other than by returning the license and re-generating for the new machine? We have several computers in the business which will need access to this license and it would be very beneficial if they could all use it at the same time.

Thanks!

To add another computer to your NXP Matlab MBDT S32K3xx MCU license:

1. Check if a floating license is available that allows multiple computers to share the license concurrently.
2. Explore if a license server setup is required, where you install the license server software on a designated machine and other computers connect to it to check out licenses.
3. Look for any license management tools provided by NXP that can help allocate and track licenses across multiple computers.
4. Contact NXP support for specific guidance on adding more computers to your license, whether through generating additional licenses or configuring a license server setup.

Hi, @CosminIon,

Thank you for using MBDT for S32K3xx on your projects.

Our toolbox requires a node-locked license for usage. Each NXP account can generate a single MBDT license linked to a single machine. If you want to change the machine on which you want to use that license, you need to return the license and generate a new one associated with the new machine.

To use our toolbox on different machines at once, you need an NXP account for each one of them to generate multiple licenses.

If you need more information about licensing and registration you can check the following link:

For any other questions, just let me know.

Cheers,

Victor
