Does changing compiler options or step tick priority make a difference?

Hi,

I am trying to make my model more efficient to get around the silly slow down problem the S32K148 chip runs into (Even when running at 5ms step size)

Will changing compiler option to -O2 and change step tick priority make any difference? If so, what difference do these options have on hw the model runs on HW?
