Hey,
Do we have any multicore platform for the MQX RTOS?
I am on a research project for real-time application on multi-core systems. I need to test some applications.
Does MQX has any support for multi-core?
please reply.
thanks

Hi Mridula
Yes, there is Vybrid MCU (with ARM A5 and M4 cores).
MCC code was primary developed for this MCU.

BTW: Our partner TimeSys is responsible for MCC code on Linux platform. If you would like communicate between MQX and Linux systems, please contact TimeSys directly. http://www.timesys.com
I hope it helps you.
Have a great day,

Thanks RadekS
I have browsed further and got to QorIQ T4240 processor. That is a 24 core processor and I just wanna know that is it possible to have MQX support on this processor? If yes, is the MQX free or we need to but the license?
Also if T4240 is easily confiurable? I have seen some demo on youtube that shows that there can be three different applications running on three sets of 8-8 cores?
thanks
Hi Mridula,
Unfortunately QorIQ T4240 processor isn’t between officially supported MCUs/MPUs in any MQX package.
However you could try asking our Premium Support (paid service) for help with porting to this platform.
http://www.freescale.com/pages/professional-support-for-microcontrollers:PREMIUM-SUPPORT
Please use contact PRMSPRT@freescale.com for getting more information about premium support at this platform.
Unfortunately I never worked with QorIQ T4240 processor, therefore I am not able answer your question whether T4240 is easily configurable…
I hope it helps you.
Have a great day,
RadekS
