Hello
Why can't the two storage areas of the mpc777c development chip be programmed?
The programing tool I use is TRACE.
Block 1: Address range: 0x00400000-0x00403fff Flash memory UTEST.
Block 2: Address range: 0x00608000-0x00607fff Flash memory High Blocks.

Hello,
Block 1: Address range: 0x00400000-0x00403fff Flash memory UTEST.
Can be programmed and it is targeted for device configuration via DCF records. Please refer to DCF records in reference manual before any attempt to program this memory space. As it is OTP (one time programmable)
By default Lauterbach is setting this area as NOP so the programming script will not unintentionally reprogram this OTP area.
It is safety mechanism for customers to not destroy chip unintentional.
You have to write your own script for programming DCF records here for TRACE32. But first it is good to understand the DCF records itself, to prevent device to be bricked.
Have a look at my application note first and our tools for DCF programming:

Block 2: Address range: 0x00608000-0x00607fff Flash memory High Blocks
These blocks are not implemented on this device. So you cannot program them and any attempt to do so will lead to buss error exception.[Peter] - Can be programmed and it is targeted for device configuration via DCF records.
