Unable to reset or flash the micro using lauterbach debugger

Hi, I am using the SPC570S50 microcontroller and lauterbach for debugging/flashing.

I was able to flash and debug this micro in the past, but now, it does not seem to be functioning correctly. Doing an "in target reset" in TRACE32 returns with a "target reset fail" error.  I am able to do an "Attach", but within a few seconds of running( it seems to be in the BAF region),  it returns with the error  "debug port fail". I was able to somehow clear the flash once, but now I am not able to do that.

Few seconds after attach, it returns with this error

Any idea on what could be causing this behavior? Thanks

Hello Jlim,

it seems the processor is reset, even while the debugger tries to halt it.

Is there an external watchdog on the board, or SBC with watchdog?

What did you do before the problem occurred?

Hi Reinhard, there is no external watchdog or SBC.

Before this issue occurred, I was working on the CAN driver.
