RappID for MPC574xR

Bigger picture:

dumitru-daniel.popa provided a tutorial to go from C to Simulink and back to C, which was very helpful. But to flash to the microcontroller (motherboard) from Simulink, as with previous microcontrollers (MPC56xxL or MPC574xP), we need a tool like RappID tool or make scripts to call either UDE/PE Micro debugger software to flash through JTAG. 

Question:
1. I am aware there is a Flash MPC5746R_20Mhz rbf file. Though we can start with this, I am not sure when we can expect support for faster clock speeds and MPC5745R? There is also no BAM support for this? Is there a reason?

Summary - When can we expect a full fledged support for MPC5745R to flash serially?

Hi,

regarding BAM support - there's BAF on this device, not BAM. BAF works in slightly different way - there are no FAB and ABS pins which select the boot mode. Serial boot is entered only if there's no valid boot header in the flash. That means you are able to run the serial boot only when the chip is blank. Once an application is programmed, serial boot will not start. It would be necessary to erase the boot header(s).

That's the reason why flash resident bootloader (RBF) is used for devices with BAF.
