Hi supportors,

Can S32 design studio IDE run with Jlink ? or only multilink supported?

MCU is MC33771 and MC5744P.

the board I'm using is RD33771-48VEVM.

ok, thanks Peter.

One more question, I bought this board https://www.nxp.com/design/designs/rd33771-48vevm-reference-design:RD33771-48VEVM

and it has two MCUs on it, one is MC33771 and the other is MPC5744P, would you help me to check how can I know these two MCUs already programmed in default status? (which pin I can probe from to confirm it's in operation condition?)

Hello,

I expect there is already programmed SW for both micors.

For sure it is for MC33771 by default.

Simply follow the Get started with the RD33771-48VEVM

Hello,

We only support in S32DS JLINK for ARMs and some PIC.

It is not supported for MPC5744P.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Since S32DS only support ARM-based MCUs, why this offical website  https://www.nxp.com/document/guide/get-started-with-the-rd33771-48vevm:GS-RD33771-48VEVM mentions I need to install S32DS and program MC5744 and MC33771 by Multilink FX?

would you help to clarify this?

Hello,

Since S32DS only support ARM-based MCUs

I am afraid there is misunderstanding. The S32DS supports MPC5744P debug for sure. but with PEMicro, or Lauternach debug. Not for Jlink.

And Jlink is available in S32DS only for ARM based processors.

So no Jlink for MPC57xx.

Best regards,

Peter
