MPC5746RRM CAN message buffer missing fields EDL BRS ESI

The reference manual rev 6.1 is missing the description of some fields in the CAN MB structure.

Section "47.4.31 Message buffer structure" on page 1888 (actually 2402) omits fields EDL, BRS, ESI

Cross-referencing MPC5748GRM I have found the missing text - assuming they have the same modules?

"EDL - Extended Data Length
This bit distinguishes between CAN format and CAN FD format frames. The EDL bit
must not be set for Message Buffers configured to RANSWER with code field 0b1010
(see Table below).
BRS - Bit Rate Switch
This bit defines whether the bit rate is switched inside a CAN FD format frame.
ESI - Error State Indicator
This bit indicates if the transmitting node is error active or error passive."

Is this text correct for MPC5746R ? Could it be added to the next revision please.

Hi,

those bits are used in a CAN FD frame. The CAN FD is not supported on the MPC5746R, so it is correct no description is available. Those bits should be marked as reserved in the "Message buffer structure" table.
