 Hello,

I am working on the STCU module of MPC5643L Controller, and my questions are

1. I would like to understand How to execute LBIST/MBIST for the STCU module and to react to detected faults by triggering a Non-Critical Fault (NCF) in the application code.

2. How to calculate the  Trip time for safety requirement.

Hello,

1. I would like to understand How to execute LBIST/MBIST for the STCU module and to react to detected faults by triggering

a Non-Critical Fault (NCF) in the application code.

Th BIST is enabled by default from NXP factory. If you have disabled it than only thing you have to do is program shadow flash memory to enable BIST execution.pastedImage_5.png

2. How to calculate the  Trip time for safety requirement.

For some modules of this device it is required to run BIST during operation, because testing every 10 hours
(Trip Time) is not sufficient for the targeted safety integrity level. These BIST runs need to be triggered
by application software once within each Process Safety Time (10 ms). Details are specified in the Safety
Application Guide.

please consult the required trip time with your safety expert.

Peter
