How to increase MPC5748G SPI Clock frequency

I've been using SPI2 on MPC5748G, It worked normally. When I configed SPI2 clock frequency from 500KHz to 1MHz or more than, it worked abnormally. How to increse SPI clock frequency?

Thanks for your reply. Currently, The SPI2 is operating in master mode.

When I increase SIP2 clock frequency to 1MHz, Data  that needs to be transferred will decrease becasues of timeout.
