The last microcontroller of the MPC57xxx family, the MPC5777M, implements the Generic Timer Module (GMT) from Bosch, instead of the traditional Motorola eTPU/eTPU2 that was found in former microcontrollers of the same family.
Does this mean that the eTPU is becoming obsolete and that NXP will implement the GMT instead, also in future microcontroller architectures?

Hi Luca,
eTPU is still alive, it will be implemented in future S32 devices.
