Emulation Port Failed

Hi,

We are facing a situation that we are not able to connect to the MPC5748G ECU ( When trying to connect the debugger we are getting "Emulation Port Failed"). We suspect this can be becuase of Flash Error , but we are not able to confirm this. When this Flash Correction occurred (MCI or DSI),  by giving "Flash.Erase.All" command through debugger we are recovering the ECU for few times. After few recovery the board is not responding with this command and start getting  "Emulation Port Failed" when connecting the debugger. We are also not seeing any CAN frames after this issue indicating that application software is not running. How do we recover the board and how to find out this issue.

Hi Nijeesh,

Have you checked power supply voltage?

After power on reset, what do you see on the reset line? Is there any signal like reset escalation? Is the micro in permanent reset? Could you please send me measured reset line signal?

From your description I suppose you have Lauterbach debugger. Did you try Halt core at power-on reset feature?
