Using FRDM MCXW71 as USB HID device

I have a FRDM-MCXW71 board and I want to used it as a USB HID device. The MCXW71 cannot support USB HID but I noticed this link:

where it seems like I can reflash the LPC on the FRDM board to act a USB HID device. I downloaded the package but there is no info about how to use it. Is it still possible?

The LPC can be configured to operate as a USB HID device. However, this would require replacing the existing MCU-LINK firmware on the LPC with a new application that implements the USB HID functionality. In addition, a communication interface (UART) must be established between the LPC and the MCXW71 device to transfer data from the MCXW71 BLE application.

It is important to note that replacing the MCU-LINK firmware will eliminate the onboard debugging and programming capabilities, since the LPC is currently responsible for SWD functionality, so an external debugger would be necessary in order to implement the debugging capabilites.
