Hi,

I'm having troubles with FRDM-MCXN947 development board. The board is unable to connect to chip's debug port making it difficult to erase or flash new FW.

I was able to use the board for some time and ran couple of examples without issues but recently it starting giving issues while trying to debug.

I tried to follow some earlier post about the same issue on FRDM-MCXN947 but it didn't help to fix it.

If anyone can provide me with some inputs on how to fix this issue then it will be helpful.

Hi @nxpsachve

Regarding your question, I recommend that you first perform a full erase using the SEC tool. Next, create a new workspace in MCUXpresso IDE and import an SDK demo project, such as the Hello World example. Then debug.
Download SEC tool from:

After install, connect board MCU-LINK port, then erase as below:

Hi Alice,

Thanks for your response.
I tried your suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work.
I saw an error message while doing it.

Hello @nxpsachve

Thanks for your reply.

While I did not see your steps in your video. Even though there are no steps about connecting the board in ISP mode, only a SEC tool view is shown.
