Config Tool for MCX N94

Hi all,

I am trying to start developing with MCX N94 MCU. I went to software and have found "MCUXpresso Config" there. I have downloaded and installed that but no matter what I try to do the tool says that the processor is not supported and I get only three nearly empty files (xxx.dtsi and pin_mux.x). No RTOS (I choose Zephyr), no HAL, nothing. If the processor is not supported then why is this tool resides in this processor's download area? And what tool do I need to use to configure MCX N94?

The Config tool supports MCXN947.

Please click the Pins tool icon.

 

Also, please make sure you are using the latest version, V25.12.

it's a pity but you did not understand right what I have written. I need not only the pin configuation, I need everything been generated: HAL, RTOS, and device configuration. What is the sense of choosing "Zephyr configuration" if it does not really generate Zephyr? Starting with bare pin_mux is very ineffective way of designing so I will not follow it. If it is not supported I am going to choose another microcontroller. If it will be supported in the nearest future please let me know.

Then, even pin muxing does not work completely. Your example works, but the configuration of USDHC does not. Please see the attached image.

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry, but currently the Config Tool only supports pin configuration based on Zephyr. I will check with the development team to confirm whether other device configuration features will be supported in the future. And send to you with any update.

what in this context then means "based on Zephyr" when Zephyr is also not generated? What at all sense is in this type of configuration?

The tool support for Zephyr is still in an ongoing improvement stage, and more features will continue to be added over time.
