When I'm using the LPC-Link 2 with MCUXpresso, the board connects and disconnects USB in quick succession when the various programs install new firmware every time (MCUXpresso and FlashMagic, for example). This causes issue if you are trying to run MCUXpresso in a virtual machine.
Is there a setting or technique where I can install a firmware onto the LPC-Link 2 and have it stick so that those USB disconnects/reconnects don't happen?
Thanks.

Try programming the probe firmware into the flash of your LPC-Link2, rather than allowing the IDE to softload it. You can do this using LPCScrypt : http://www.nxp.com/LPCScrypt

Thanks. That was exactly what I needed and now that the board doesn't bounce the USB, things are much more reliable.
