Hi, I am currently using an NXP ls1021A and would like to implement Secure Boot. Is this possible without the Security Engine (SEC) enabled? Or is the implementation of Secure Boot only possible in combination with the use of the Security Engine?

Hello,

SEC disabled Layerscape chips cannot perform secure boot, the security engine (SEC 5.5) is designed to support Secure Boot.

Have a nice day!

Oswaldo.

Thank you for your reply. Where can I find information on implementing Secure Boot with the LS1021A? Is there a step-by-step guide? I also want to know what is part of the SEC? Is the SFP module part of the SEC? Thanks in advance.
