Hello,
We use LS1023a to develop the product.(kernel version:5.4.47)
After using the product for a while(few weeks), a kernel panic occurred.
The kernel panic information is "Kernel panic - not syncing: Asynchronous SError Interrupt".
ARM manual says "SError generation is IMPLEMENTATION DEFINED."
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/102412/0103/Exception-types/Asynchronous-exceptions
Could NXP provide all LS1023a's SError generation reasons?
We need to investigate Serror root cause for this issue.
Thanks
Which component caused the SError? PCIe, DPAA Ethernet?
Would you please provide the whole Linux Kernel panic console log?
Thanks, you for help.
We do not know which component cause this issue.
It happens suddenly after a long time.
CPU receive/transmit data from DDR, PCIE, ethernet, emmc, uart in the background.
So, we would like to know about LS1023a's SError generation reasons (IMPLEMENTATION DEFINED by NXP).
We will check one by one.
The attached file is panic information.
Could you provide" SError generation" information for our reference?
Thanks
Please refer to the following update from the AE team.
I did not see specific SError definitions for LS1023a.
Customer can check ESR_ELx.IDS to get to know whether they are IMPLEMENTATION DEFINED SErrors, and check ESR to get more error info.
Confirming with the AE team now.
