Raspberry pi operating system on layerscape

Hello there

I would like to run a raspberry pi image on a layerscape processor, for better performance and building a custom system that costs less. The application is a firewall for networks and running peer to peer VPN services.

I am not the greatest at building a custom rom or firmware but i want to use a firmware/rom already available.

I need to run the following: 3 Gigabit NIC's (ethernet); disk usage led; 2GB ram; 16GB boot drive; real time clock and video output with usb input for a keyboard

Thanks for reading      hope you can help.

Thank you for contacting NXP support!

Sorry but that is not possible!

The images for Raspberry Pi are built for their processor and you can't run that OS on Layerscape processors.

You can install ubuntu on your Layers scape and try to install the same apps or similar to your application
