Hi,

Normally, PTP operates in the International Atomic Time (TAI) timescale, while the system clock is kept in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). We wanted to the PTP to operate are UTC. Please let us know is it possible. if possible how do we make it operate at UTC.

Thank you,

UTC is currently exactly 37 seconds behind TAI. 1588 timer works with the clock that is fed into its system (hardware). 1588 PPS can be synchronized with GPS PPS or 1588_Master_PPS if the device is configured as a slave. PTP (precision time protocol) is used to synchronize clocks throughout a computer netwrok. If the base clock with which the system has to be synchronized works at UTC then the whole system will be operating at UTC. Q1. What is your use case?
