Hello,

According to this post (https://community.nxp.com/t5/Other-NXP-Products/PPS-signal-on-LS1021A-TSN/m-p/1296948#M11360), it is possible to generate a PPS signal from the PTP Hardware Clock on the LS1028A-RDB.

Could you please provide me with a link that explains the steps to follow to do this, or at least some additional information?

What about the IMX8MPEVK? Is the PPS signal generation supported on this board too? Is the procedure similar?

Thank you in advance.

There is a link to the OpenIL user manual in the post you mentioned, which says the LS1028A-RDB supports the PPS signal, but does not say the same for the IMX8MPEVK. It also provides commands to use and test PPS generation under OpenIL. The corresponding commands in case of using the Layerscape Software Development Kit on LS1028A can be found in the LSDK user manual.

The low-level programming model of the LS1028A IEEE 1588 module can be found in Section 16.3 Ethernet Controller (ENETC) of the QorIQ LS1028A Reference Manual. You can download it from the LS1028A web page
