LX2160A eMMC boot

I am trying to understand #eMMC boot for #LX2160A. The LSDK does not give any details (that I can find) for eMMC boot, just NOR and SD-card.

Does the LX2160A support loading RCW/PBI and BL2/3 from eMMC (I guess so since it is an option in cfg_rcw_src).

Does the LSDK support it?

Is Boot operation mode (as specified in JEDEC standard) supported, i.e. can I boot from one of the boot partitions?

Booting LX2160A from eMMC is supported by LSDK - refer to the:

LSDK Open Source

section LSDK IMAGES.

Thank you,

Is it correct that eMMC boot does not work on REV 1 of the LX2160ARDB, but it works on REV2?

Also I guess the LX2 service processor does not support booting from the eMMC boot partitions then (Boot operation/alternative boot operation mode).

What do you mean by "REV 1 of the LX2160ARDB"?

Your statement about the service processor is correct.

By REV 1 I meant the original LX2160A-RDB as opposed to the LX2160A-RDB-B.

The RDB boards only differ by the LX2160A silicon revision - "B" has Rev.2.0 installed.

There were no eMMC-related changes between the processor silicon revisions.
