We are building a new custom board based on the LS1046 SoC, we are using the LS1046ardb board as a reference, we will on board 4GB of MT40A512M16TB-062E IT:R with ECC. all other used peripherals are the identical to the ones used in the dev kit.
according to the DDR4 data sheet MT40A512M16TB-062E has a a data rate of 3200 MT/s and tCL= 22, and based on the LS1046 data sheet it's DDR controller has a rate of 2100 MT/s.
Because we are using different DDR than the one used in the LS1046ardb, we have few questions:
1- Is using QCVS tool the only step needed to integrate the new DDR4 into our custom board ?
2- When we assigned the Output Data Rate = 2100 MT/s in the Clock Settings group in the New QorIQ Configuration Project settings the tCL drop down menu has only 14,15 and 16 values but no 22, what should we assign tCL to ?
3- should we use the other timing values identical to the values of the MT40A512M16TB-062E in the data sheet ?
4- what files will be generated from the tool ? and where should we move these files to ?
5- are there any extra steps needed to move our project from the LS1046ardb dev board to our custom board ?
