hi,

Since we are using the NOR FLASH,  Is DDR3L/4 is important to interface with LS1020A? if not what is the constrain ? or is it possible to have SRAM interface by eliminating DDRAM?

hi,

Thanks for the reply,  If we do not use the DDR memory will it effect the processor performance?

Yes, performance will be affected of course. DDR is faster than flash memory, so any access to the memory will hit the performance.

Main constraint is our SDK, it requires DDR memory for normal working flow, that is why typically all users use DDR memory in their designs. If you do not use SDK, you don't have to use DDR.

If you chose the last option (non-SDK), the LS1020A contains 2 x 64kB on-chip SRAM. If this is not enough for your application, you can add external SRAM on the IFC interface.
