Hi, we are interested in details on the DPAA2 Management Complex (specifically targeting LX2160), such as a reference manual, architectural information, etc for custom firmware development.

Is there any information available about this?
We have an NDA, if needed.

MC complex is a proprietary hardware and microcode. Users request MC services
an exchange information with it by utilizing the API specified in DPAA2 API
Reference Manual (DPAA2APIRM). More information on MC concept and programming model
can be found in DPAA2 User Manual ( DPAA2UM). Both these documents are PDF
attachments to NXP LSDK User Guide.

Generally speaking, there are no provisions for MC firmware development and/or customization by
users. However, on DPAA2 processors with AIOP, you can develop software which
runs at effectively the same level as MC and has direct access to DPAA2 resources.
See LSDK User Guide, Sections 8.3.1.4.4 and 8.3.7 for more information. AIOP-enabled
processors are LS1088, LS2088 and their derivatives. LX2160 does not have AIOP,
so for this particular chip there are no options.

If you are interested in AIOP software development, the requirements are AIOP-enabled on
Layerscape processor, CodeWarrior for Advanced Packet Processing and a paid support plan.
