Configuring OpenOCD to work with LS1043a-RDB

I am attempting to use OpenOCD and gdb to debug the kernel on the LS1043a-RDB.  I've seen references to a version of it packaged with Eclipse that would do this, but I haven't been able to figure out how to download that.  Also, we don't use Eclipse in our environment so all I really need out of that are the various target and chip configuration scripts.  Has anyone gotten this working?  I build the master branch of OpenOCD with CMSIS-DAP support and it sees the LS1043 with two tap's (a Freescale tap and an ARM tap).

We only provide CodeWarrior debugging solution for LS1043ARDB, which is also use gdb as the debugger.

You could refer to the document Use CodeWarrior for ARMv8 to Debug U-boot and Linux Kernel and Bring up Bare Boards for how to debug Linux Kernel with CodeWarrior, you could install the evaluation version CodeWarrior and refer to configuration scripts provided in CodeWarrior.
