Hi!

I am quite new to the TWR-LS1021A board, but I already ran into some issues.

I am trying to boot OpenWRT LINK, but I have abolutely no idea how, I tried somthing with an SD Card and it didn't work. Could someone please help me to undertsand the logic on how to let the board boot from any kind of image other than the factory default yocto image?

Thanks in advance!

First of all thanks for your help!

I read the readme and I am not quite sure how to boot after the image is written to the sd card, can you assist?

Thanks!

Please refer to section "3. Program flash or SD card" in target/linux/layerscape/README

I tried what's inside that section, but after following the tutorial for programming the flash, the board just starts into the already installed yocto linus distro. And after writing the image to the SD Card and plugging it in I am not sure how I need to change the switches or jumpers to get the board booting from the SD Card.

Thanks in advance!

I just tried that, now there is no console output. I just noticed that I have v1.0 of the cpu(ls1021e) if that matters.

Yes, that's the cause of the problem.

Current NXP released software only supports TWR-LS1021A Rev 2.0 CPU.

@RealTheDj10

Looks like booting from SD Card is broken for Layerscape in the 22.03.x and Master tree. Try to boot the Openwrt 21.02.5 SD Card Image.
