I have installed the GDB Server software and it states that J-Link is connected and is connected to target. I have also been through the GNU ARM Eclipse Plugin tutorial at https://www.segger.com/nxp-lpcxpresso.html but I have not been able to successfully debug. LPCXpresso keeps saying that it does not recognize a compatible emulator.

I've read through several other threads and it appears that others are getting this to work, minus certain LPCXpresso functions like debug "Peripherals" for instance.

I am using LPCXpresso Free Version. Has anyone else encountered this problem and solved it?

If I am using an LPC2378 with 512k flash memory with the free version of LPCXpresso, would that cause the problems I am experiencing? All the other settings seem to be correct.

That message indicates that you are starting a "built-in LPCXpresso" debug session, not a Segger J-Link debug session.

Thus you need go through the instructions Segger provides again and make sure you are following them exactly.
