The standard boot works ok here on latest Windows 10 build (10074). Suspect it is your USB ports. Did you follow all of the troubleshooting in the FAQ?

Further investigation has shown that this error is caused if Windows "System Protection" is disabled. System Protection is the Windows service for handling restore points.

It seems that the Windows 10 Build 10074 default setting is for System Protection to be disabled (it is enabled in earlier builds, and in previous versions of Windows).

To resolve this issue on any version of Windows, enable System Protection (use your favorite search engine if you do not know how to do this).

The next version of LPCXpresso will trap the error, report that the System Restore point has not been created, and will continue to install drivers.

The error message is because the installer is unable to create a system restore point. This implies your are not installing as an administrator ( or perhaps a bug in Windows 10 a which build of Win 10 are you using). Make sure your user has sufficient privileges to create the restore point.

Because of the error, the drivers are not being installed. Therefore you need to install the drivers. Plugin your device and then install the missing drivers, found in the Drivers directory.

The next version of LPCXpresso will continue to install drivers even if a restore point cannot be created.

We had the same message (W10 Build 10130) and Device Manager was showing driver problems...

After Updating the drivers this issue was solved and Link (LPCXpresso11C24-Board) and Link2 are working...

We have been testing LPCXpresso on various pre-releases of Windows 10, and have experienced no problems. We will of course support the released version of Windows 10, when available.

The "SWbemObjectEx" problem has been reported on Windows 8 but we have not been able to reproduce. I suspect that it may be due to creating the System Restore point before installing the device drivers. To help us understand if this is the case, are restore points enabled, or does your account have sufficient privileges? I this is not the issue, please run the installer with the /log="install.log" option and post the generated log file.

Regarding the LPC-Link problem: Are you refering the LPC-Link or LPC-Link2? What type of USB port are you connecting to USB2 or USB3? Have you tried another port?

Also, take a look at the Troubleshooting section of this FAQ:
