I am interested to use gdb by the command line to perform some unit tests and so I checked what targets its support. I saw that the gdb supplied with LpcXpresso and Red Suite knows also the sim target. Digiting help target sim gdb answers "Used the compiled-in simulator". So the question is: what type of simulator is embedded in gdb? What ARM core/s it simulates and is there any way to specify what ARM core it would simulate?
