Myself and a couple of others gave them a gob full about the "new" forum, eventually they apologised and said they would regress back to this one until they fixed the issues.
Truth is there were no real "bugs" in the new one, I think it's the same crap forum LPCware has had all the time. It doesn't have any of the features people expect in a forum these days and when we were dropped in it we didn't like it. I assume the current LPCware guys don't mind, but personally if it had stayed that way it would possibly have driven me from the LPCs. These days, unless you are building a million widgets and need to save every cent, choice of a chip is more than just the hardware it's the entire "eco system" and a big part of that is the forum.
The best example of this is Aduino, crap hardware but still the most popular platform on the planet and largely I would argue because of the active forum.
I doubt I'll be leaving LPC because they have such a great range 217 to 8(?) pins these days and I don't think any other ARMs do that, but there has to be a good forum with knowledgeable members to back it up. That said I've just started a SAM3X8E project so who knows :)
And speaking of knowledgeable members, have we lost Zero? He said goodbye the day or two after the forum switch, coincidence? He was/is probably the most helpful person here.
