Unable to change variable values in Debug configuration

After updating to LPCXpresso 8.1.2 and creating a new debug configuration, I am unable to write values to variables. I have tried using the Memory viewer and changing the values from the gdb command line to no effect. Removing the "--gc-sections" flag from the linker flags also had no effect.

LPCXpresso IDE v8.1.4, which we have just released, should resolve this issue.

I suspect this is related to this issue noted in - https://www.lpcware.com/content/forum/loading-ram-instead-flash-not-working-812 - which we are currently investigating.
