Hi all,
I have just started with LPCXpresso 54102.I just wanted to ask one question if there is any other software in the market which will help program LPC541xx targets without using KEIL or LPCXpresso IDE.(I have considered Flash Magic but it requires serial UART to flash, which is not compatible to this development board,as it has micro usb).

Thanks and regards,
Dev

Hi Bavarian,
I had followed your suggestions and burned the image of the LPCXpresso V2/V3 CMSIS-DAP debugger with bridges.I am not sure how to link through the J7. Flash magic is still not being able to communicate with the board.I would prefer it if you could please give a step wise procedure of how to program the OM13078  DEV BRD, LPC54102 SENSOR PROCESS/MOTION with Flash Magic(settings required) after burning the debugger image using the LPC_configuration tool.Your help will much be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
Dev

There is a UART available, but obviously not with a D-SUB 9 connector. On the side of the board there is this "FTDI connector" which allows for a so called "FTDI cable". This includes a RS232 level shifter, in order to connect directly to those 3.3V UART interfaces.

http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBTTLSerial.htm

Then you can use FlashMagic.

Now comes the good news: the same UART is also connected to the LPC4300 debugger bridge which does in addition to the USB2JTAG conversion also a UART2USB serial bridge. You should see a COM port on your PC when you connect a LPC54102 board with the USB at the "Link" connector J7.
If there is no COM port, then you need to update the firmware for this debugger bridge:

Finally this means that you don't need such a FTDI cable to use FlashMagic with this board.

Hi,
I want to use Flash Magic but am not able to connect to the LPCXpresso 54102 device and moreover all Flash Magic operations examples I have seen till now require UART serial port but NXP OM13078 DEV BRD, LPC54102 SENSOR PROCESS/MOTION has a micro usb. So I wanted to know how to configure Flash Magic so that I can flash LPCXpresso 54102 through the micro usb.

Thanks and regards,
Dev

You could try IAR or OpenOCD. But what's your objection to Keil or LPCXpresso?
