Hello Everybody!  :)

I am a Mac user, so I am running Windows 7 (32b version) under VMWare, in emulation, so I can run LCPXpresso.  I'm not sure if this will work, but I'm crossing my fingers, given that I don't have a PC.

I plugged in my LPC1343 board, and it immediately started blinking a red light.

Next, I installed LPCXpresso, launched it, and compiled the

LPCXpresso1343_blinky

example, and then hit "Debug 'LPCXpresso1343_blinky' (Debug)."

At this point "Initializing LPC-Link..." pops up, and things look very exciting... but it just sits there for a while, and then it pops up a window, "Timeout waiting for LPC-Link to initialize."

It offers to show a log file, and I have tried to enclose it as an attachment.

Does anybody have any suggestions that I should try?  I am very excited to do some hacking, but sadly I can't figure out how to take that first step of downloading a program.... :(

Any suggestions would be most welcome!  :)

I think everything works now... this is what I did this time:

1.  Plug in USB device
2.  Launch VMWare
3.  Boot Windows
4.  Launch the software....

I am so happy now, and thanks for offering help so quickly.  :D

After booting the Xpresso-Link, the USB re-enumerates. After the time out you could try and look for a new device in the USB menu of the Virtual Machine and connect to it.

I just found this thread in another group, somebody else seems to have the same problem...  I'll try to read it now.
