After I connect the Xpresso board to the PC and after the LPC-Link gets initialized , if I try to program flash I get the following error -

LPCXpresso Error :

53 : Liscence does not permit flash operations from command line.

The program Im trying to flash is blinky.

Please help.

My computer is a netbook , 1.6GHz Intel atom , 2GB Ram hosts Windows Xp Professional SP 2.

Original Attachment has been moved to: 1100474_44_1KHz.txt.zip

Reinstalling the same product over and over again will make absolutely no difference. There was a problem in the code that affects a very very small number of computers, and this has been fixed in the new release. The new release will be made available when we have finished testing it.

The configuration of the other computers that experienced this problem is completely irrelevant.

I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times already , I have even created new E-mail Id's just for getting the Activation Key , but all effort is in vain.

When is the exact date the new release will be out ?

What is the config of the other 2 comps (OS specifically) ?

Uninstall and then Re-install the new release. As it looks like there is a problem with the license, you may need to get a new serial number/activation code as well.

Note this this problem only affects a very small number of computers - yours is only the 3rd to have been reported.

But the same release works in my Desktop (different Liscence No).
When installing this IDE in my desktop , when I clicked on the 3.3.4 Link it showed a window with Run, Save and cancel . I clicked on Run.

In my netbook , only Save File and Cancel appeared in the window even though both systems have Windows XP Prof SP 2.

So , I should uninstall and Re-install or upgrade the IDE when the new version is released ?

It looks like your license is not recognised by the Debug Driver. There will be a new release later this week that should resolve this issue.

Try using -wire=winusb instead of -wire=hid

note that you must boot the lpcxpresso board first

I connected the board to my netbook and debugged blinky program just to initialize the LPC-Link , it debugged successfully.

From command line when I ran first bootLPCXpresso winusb it gave 'No device connected , press download when connected'.
When I ran the command you gave me I got the following output-

C:\nxp\lpcxpresso_3.3\bin>crt_emu_lpc11_13_nxp -g -4 -wire=hid -pLPC1343 -flash-

In the bin/Scripts folder these files are available -
bootLPCXpresso.cmd , finddfu.cmd , finddfu.vbs , findhid.cmd and findhid.vbs

I clicked on bootLPCXpresso.cmd but nothing happens other than the command prompt coming and closing after a sec or so.

Hi,

Can you try running the flash programmer from the command line and list ALL of the output from the command

crt_emu_lpc11_13_nxp -g -4 -wire=hid -pLPC1343 -flash-load-partial=your_application.axf

The version is 3.3.4.
Liscence type : Full
Debug Limit : 128kb

I am trying to program flash using the Program Flash Icon in the toolbar.
But, I am able to debug blinky successfully.

Please can you confirm:

What version of LPCXPresso you are using? The current release version is 3.3.4. Use "Help -> About LPCXPresso" to identify your current version.

How are you trying to programme the flash? Using the "Debug" option in the Quickstart panel?

Can you confirm the contents of the MCU Debug log when you try to debug?
For example when I debug blinky I see:
