LPC11C14 connected to a Linux host system through the serial port. Application: CAN to serial bridge.

For ease of production and field updates, we would like to program the device in-circuit, using the serial port and the built-in boot loader.

The controller should always go into boot loader first, then the application running on the Linux host can decide whether it needs to update the firmware, or start the flash code on the LPC11C14.

Is there any canned Linux code for this that we can adapt ? I would rather not reinvent this wheel...

I hear that lpc21isp can be compiled for Linux.

Jup, lpc21isp works quite fine. Tested with lpc1343 and lpc1114 here.
