Happy 2014 to everyone. I have spent some hours trying to make LPCXpresso, but to no avail. Theoretically, my copy is licensed now, I have generated a key, and registered it, and everything, and when I start the IDE, the website it takes me to, and the about dialog both say it is a licensed free edition, and that the debug size is 256K, but as soon as the size is bigger than 8K it complaints about the license. In fact, if I run the emulator with -info-license I get:

/usr/local/lpcxpresso_6.1.2_177/lpcxpresso/bin/crt_emu_cm3_nxp -info-license
Ni: LPCXpresso Debug Driver v6.0 (Nov 14 2013 01:09:01 - crt_emu_cm3_nxp build 1216)
Cr:f PCXpresso Free License - Download limit is 8K (UNREGISTERED)

In the license folder I have ('me' is my user name):
ls -l /usr/share/NXPLPCXpresso
total 8
-rw-rw-rw- 1 me  me   64 Jan  1 13:24 LPCXpresso.acc
-rw-rw-rw- 1 me me 256 Jan  1 13:22 LPCXpresso.sib

Taking a look here and there I saw that there is a file with extension .cdm that I am missing, and I don't know if I should have it.

Any help will be very much appreciated

Sorry, but gentoo is not a supported distro. See the user manual for supported platforms.

Which Linux distro are you running? And which version?

No, you do not need a CDM file - that is for the pro edition
