LPCXpresso Free activation error

Hello everyone,

I've tried to activate the Free Edition license for LPCXpresso (v. 7.0.2), but an error has been arisen.

I haven't an internet connection on the PC with the LPCXpresso installed, so I did the following:

1) from LPCXpresso "Help->Activate->Create serial number and register", I obtained the Serial Number

2) I copied this serial number in the "LPCXpresso Key Activation" page; this page gave me the "LPCXpresso Activatiion Key"

3) I put this key in LPCXpresso  "Help->Enter Activation Code"

At this point LPCXpresso gave me the error "No license to activate".

Where I'm wrong?

Dear Support,

I don't know what has happened, but I've just tried the activation again and it has gone fine  !!!

Now I'm able to work with the Full License.

I followed the activation procedure as reported in "LCPXpresso User Guide, rev. 7 10 March, 2014" at pag. 10, point 2.5 "Activating your product (LPCXpresso Free Edition).

This morning I've done the procedure again. These are the serial number and the activation code:

Product Serial Number
GXNQ-DZJ0-K0I4-CZC1-F1LX-CQA0-FRN5-GSOQ-P1JY-PSEQ

Product Activation Key
HRE2-OWHU-F3HU-I3FW-D1AT-BVNZ-MZK3-J0F0

but the result has been the same (no activation)

Please remember that the PC has no internet connection.

I've also tried the activation on another PC that has a internet connection and in this case the procedure was fine.

I hope this could help you to give me some others hints.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what is causing your problem. Are you certain that you followed the process exactly as documented in the User Manual?

I suggest that you try the whole activation process again, and document each step, together with the serial number, activation code, and and errors received, and post here.

Finally, can you also post the log file from
(your_workspace)\.metadata\.log

I've checked and the path %ALLUSERSPROFILE% is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users, but in this directory there are neither LPCXpresso.sib nor LPCXpresso.acc files (see the attached picture).

What do you think about this?

The 7.3.0 reference is only to the installer reporting the problem. The rest of the FAQ is applicable to all versions.

The error "No license to activate" means that "Create Serial Number and Activate" failed to create the local license file. See this FAQ for how to find the license directory:

For a valid free license, there should be both LPCXpresso.sib and LPCXpresso.acc files.

If either of these files is present, please attach them. If not, what is your PATH? What else is in your environment (type SET in a command prompt)

Thanks for the hint.

I've added the variable but it didn't fix the problem.

Besides this, I'm using the LPCXpresso v. 7.0.2 (in order to use it on windows XP),  whilst your FAQ refers to LPCXpresso 7.3.0 and later.

Do you have any other idea?
