Hi, I'm using LPCXpresso 6.1.4 without problem on my XP SP2 machine and LPCLink from LPC1769 evaluation board.
Now I install 7.8. I can compile my old projects, but when I try to debug it hangs. I see Lunching Term_Temp 39% on status bar but the ide is hung (mouse is sand clock). I don't know where the log file is to attached.

The problemas is that lpcxpresso ide hungs and stop working. I have to go to process administrator and terminate lpcxpresso proces.
I will try disabling other probes.
I have another pc with xp and lpcxpresso 7.5 works fine, I don't remember if it's a sp2 or sp3

You don't actually tell us what the actual error you get is, but as you are using LPC-Link, you could try disabling other probes - just in case one of them is causing the problem, as described in http://www.lpcware.com/content/forum/connect-timed-out

As stated in the release notes Windows XP is not supported. We stopped supporting XP when Micosoft stopped supporting it. Sorry.
