LPC1768 PWM, bringing pin low

Hi,
   I am using PWM on the LPC1768.  I wish to be able to turn off the PWM at a pin, bringing the pin low.  I have tried the PCR register but it appears to leave the pin in whatever state it currently is.

What is the cleanest way to shut off to a pin, leaving the pin low?

I have it working using the PINSEL reg, not sure if there is a cleaner way.........
