I have both an LPC-Link1 and LPC-Link2 debugger probe which I use for debugging LPC1769 processors. I am using a 64-bit Windows 8.1 PC with LPCXpresso v8.1.4 on it.
Debugging with LPC-Link2 works fine. The LPC-Link1 no longer seems to work. I am sure I had it working before, but that was a couple of months ago - most likely when I was still running LPCXpresso v7.9.2.
I preferred the LPC-Link2, so the LPC-Link1 was not touched for a while. However, this situation has changed and now I want to use both for debugging two processors at the same time.
What is the problem?
The LPC-Link1 is detected by Windows and by LPCXpresso. It is initialized by LPCXpresso with the message 'Initializing LPC-Link (WinUSB) or RDB-Link with LPCXpressoWIN.enc'
No errors there. But when LPCXpresso needs to connect to the emulator is says 'No compatible emulators available ...'
Please find attached a PDF file with screen copies and additional info.
I already tried the following:
1. Debugging the same processor with LPC-Link2 - all works fine.
2. Swapping LCP-Link1 with LPC-Link1 of colleague - same problem
3. Removing and re-installing Windows driver for the LCP-Link1 - same problem
4. Try different USB port - same problem
5. Try powered USB hub - same problem
6. Try the LCP-Link1 on other PC (= Laptop, Windows 10) with same LCPXpresso v8.1.4 - all works fine.
So my conclusion is the target LCP1769 based hardware is fine, the LPC-Link1 hardware is fine, it has to do with installation under Windows 8.1 ?
Any suggestions?
