JTAG Configuration - No devices Found

Hi!

I am using the LPC-Link2 board, that has a 10-pin JTAG, to program an evaluation board from waveshare, that has a 20-pin JTAG. I made a custom 10-pin to 20-pin adapter to be able to program the board.

I was able to program the board multiple times but sometimes I need to restart the process because the LPCXpresso cannot find the JTAG. At the moment, I cannot fix the problem and the IDE always give me the error "JTAG Configuration - No devices Found" (see figure)

I already tried to restart the IDE, power cycle both boards and reinstall the image on LPC-Link2 but without success.

I ask for help to discover if the problem if something related with software or hardware. I think that the custom adapter is the source of the problem but it worked quite well since I made it.

I am having the same problem (using LPC-Link2 for LPC1549).
The LPC-Link is just briked, it appears with VID/PID 0040/000C, when its supposed to be 1FC9/000C (that's what it was before it briked).
The red LED is not flashing.
Any suggestions?

I tested my new adapter today and it works perfectly on my first try. Therefore, my problem was related with the JTAG connections, even though that my custom connection  had worked fine for several times.

We suspect a problem with your adapter. You might try using an SWD connection instead of JTAG as it uses the pins differently, but I am not that hopeful. See

Yes, the blinking LED is a new feature of the latest version of the firmware. It just a heartbeat and confirms the firmware is running.

Yes, I am using the latest version of LPCXpresso. I even tried with the previous versions (7.2 and 7.1.1)

I was able to program the board yesterday without problem and I did not do anything special in order to have problems.

I do not know if it matters but the LPC Link 2 have its LED blinking when I tried to program. I think that it did not have this behaviour in previous versions of LPCXpresso

Which version of LPCXpresso are you using? You should make sure you are using the latest - v7.3.0

Hello,

my target is LPC4337JBD144.

Before your reply I did not tried that procedures. I tried both and nothing happens.

Regarding the first procedure, I connect the pin P2_7 to GND and assert the RST button that the waveshare evaluation board have. I tried to debug again and the same error appear. If I try again to debug, the redlink server must be restarted (see figure). I need to power cycle the LPC link 2 board in order to obtain the first error of "JTAG Configuration - no devices found".

The boot configuration is set to USART0 (all boot pins set to LOW).

You haven't mentioned which target you are trying to program. Also, have you followed the instructions here?
