FreeRTOS redlib or newlib

I have started a project using LPCXpresso and EA LPC1769 board, so far so good I reused the code from the code red freertos example. I noticed that there examples uses newlib by default, why is that ?

Are there issues with redlib and FreeRTOS ?

[FONT=Arial]I'm using RedLib with FreeRTOS 7 on LPC1114, its AOK.
Make [U][B]sure[/B][/U] you get latest version of FreeRTOS from the
FreeRTOS web site for real work...
